What is Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC)?

AAC is a set of methods and tools that allow people with communication difficulties to express themselves. It includes gestures, symbols, images, writing and assistive technologies like our application.

Who is this application for?

The application is designed for anyone with oral communication difficulties: people with autism, language disorders, motor disabilities, aphasia, or any other condition affecting speech.

Does the application work offline?

Yes, most basic features work offline. However, the AI assistant and some premium voices require an internet connection.

On which devices can I use the application?

The application is only available on iPhone via the App Store. It is optimized for all recent iPhone models.

Usage

How do I create my own personalized phrases?

Go to settings, select 'Custom phrases', then tap '+' to add a new phrase. You can associate it with emojis and classify it by category.

How does the AI assistant work?

The AI analyzes the emojis you select and suggests contextual phrases. The more you use the application, the more accurate and adapted to your habits the suggestions become.

Can I use the application during a phone call?

Yes, this is a unique feature of our application. You can activate 'Call' mode which allows you to use speech synthesis during your phone conversations.

How do I organize my favorite phrases?

Use the category system to organize your phrases. You can create thematic folders (food, emotions, needs, etc.) and drag your favorite phrases into them.

Settings

How do I change the speech synthesis voice?

Go to Settings > Voice, then select from available voices. Premium Elevenlabs voices offer superior quality and more expressiveness.

How do I save my settings?

Your settings are automatically saved locally on your iPhone. They remain available as long as the application is installed on your device.

How do I reset the application?

To completely reset the application, you must uninstall it and then reinstall it from the App Store. This will delete all your data and custom settings.

Technical

Does the application consume a lot of battery?

The application is optimized for minimal consumption. Speech synthesis and AI can consume more energy, but normal usage remains very economical.

What to do if the application closes unexpectedly?

Restart the application and check for updates. If the problem persists, contact our support with details of your device and the problem encountered.

How do I update the application?

Updates are done automatically via the App Store. You can also check manually in the 'My apps' section of your store.

Is my data secure?

Yes, all your data is encrypted and stored securely. We do not share any personal information with third parties.
